A bookshelf should reflect who you are

If you have more books than room on your bookshelf, my first recommendation is to get rid of any that you don’t feel represents who you are as a person. Bookshelves are often on display to your guests. What do you want your family and friends to know about you by looking at the books you’ve collected?

Get rid of any that you wouldn’t proudly defend as part of who you are. Let go of those titles you know you’ll never read, that no longer interest you or that you simply don’t have room to keep. Books should be treated with honour and respect and stored accordingly; not in disarray or covered in dust.
